JESUS is Friend

When the people who hated Jesus wanted to accuse him of something, the best they could come up is found in Matthew 11:19. They call him a “friend of sinners”. This is what He was know for and He was good with it. What will we be known for at the end of our lives? Will we be known like Jesus?

What our world needs now is an encounter with REAL Jesus a REAL Friend. The results of Jesus friendship is life transformation. A notorious thief known as Zacchaeus (Luke 19:10) becomes a generous giver because of Jesus’ friendship. That was Jesus’s point. The Bible says in Luke 19:10 that the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost” That was the point Jesus stepped out of glory of heaven to become a friend It wasn’t convenient or popular with the self-righteousBut it was life transforming with all those who welcome him in.Jesus modeled to us how we are to live our lives, He said it and demonstrated how we are to live. In our overly self-centered, selfee obsessed culture, Jesus is calling us to be the kind of friend He was. Because the only way people will see Jesus as a friend is when you and I act like Jesus – then they will see Him in us.
